‘That feeling will never get old’: Anchorage motorcyclists bring summer Christmas cheer to kids in need

ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) – Alaska Bikes Advocating Training and Education (ABATE) and the Alaska Vets Motorcycle Club, took to the streets Saturday in their yearly joint tradition of spreading a holiday spirit under the summer sun.

The Christmas in July Toy Run’s 25th year saw the groups assemble a caravan of festively decorated motorcycles to deliver donated toys to children in need across the city.

“Everybody loves it,” ABATE of Anchorage President Marie Berry said. “Everybody’s thinking winter, cold, and here we are all on motorcycles. We’ve got a sleigh being pulled by a motorcycle.”…
