WEST SAND LAKE, N.Y. (NEWS10) — Several fire crews responded to a vehicle and house fire in West Sand Lake on Saturday, according to the West Sand Lake Fire Department. The incident occurred on Springer Road.
The West Sand Lake Fire Department was dispatched to the scene just after 1 p.m. Upon arrival, firefighters reportedly found a fire that had spread from a vehicle to the home and its attached garage.
West Sand Lake officials said there were no hydrants within reach of the residence, so crews had to rely on a coordinated tanker operation to shuttle water to the scene. According to authorities, most of the fire damage was contained to the garage, saving the rest of the home…
