A motorcyclist was killed in a crash involving an SUV on Route 303 in Tappan on Sunday, July 26, Orangetown police said.
Officers responded to the intersection of Route 303 and Campbell Avenue at approximately 12:53 p.m. for a report of a crash, where preliminary investigation found that a 2025 Jeep Grand Cherokee was traveling south on Route 303 and attempting to make a left turn onto Campbell Avenue when it struck a 2025 Harley-Davidson motorcycle traveling north on Route 303, police said.
The motorcyclist suffered serious injuries and was taken to Montefiore Nyack Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, authorities said. The victim’s name is being withheld pending notification of family members…
