Fayetteville veteran launches local transportation business after Army

After helping coordinate one of the U.S. military’s most chaotic evacuation operations, Tauheed “Ty” Wood found a new mission back home in Fayetteville to help travelers get where they need to go.

His Fayetteville-based company Shuttle Buddy provides shuttle rides from Fayetteville to Raleigh-Durham International Airport and is approaching its two-year anniversary.

Long before launching Shuttle Buddy, Wood spent more than a decade serving in the Army.
