Driver accused of intentionally hitting and killing man riding scooter in Boston

A driver accused of intentionally hitting and killing a man riding a scooter in Boston’s Dorchester neighborhood has been charged with second-degree murder.

Jhonny Ruiz Soto, 21, is accused in a crash on Saturday at the intersection of Blue Hill Avenue and Seaver Street.

Police were called to the intersection around 2:28 p.m. for a report of a pedestrian struck. When they arrived, the victim was lying in the road. He was taken to the hospital, where he died of his injuries…
