(WJET/WFXP)– A woman was flown to the hospital Sunday night after firefighters said she fell more than 30 feet off a cliff in Lake City.
Lake City Fire Company said they were called out to the area of Elk Creek Access just before 9 pm Sunday, with the victim falling off a cliff and into Elk Creek.

Firefighters said they were directed deeper inland on their way to the call, saying the victim had fallen into a creek bed between the Canadian National trestle and Interstate 90 and used an access point off Tannery Road to get to her.
After making their way through an estimated half to three-quarters of a mile through the woods, firefighters said they found the woman, loaded her in a Stokes basket, and carried her to awaiting EMS crews.

Lake City said she was taken by ambulance to a landing zone and later flown to the hospital by STATMedivac with undisclosed injuries.
