Myrtle Beach pastor JP Miller to return to federal court Aug. 25 in cyberstalking case

FLORENCE COUNTY, S.C. (WPDE) — Myrtle Beach pastor John-Paul Miller is scheduled to appear in federal court August 25 for a pretrial conference on his cyberstalking allegations, according to court documents.

The hearing follows a continuance granted earlier this month after Miller’s attorneys requested additional time to review evidence and discuss the case with federal prosecutors. Prosecutors consented to the request.

The court ruled the delay serves the interests of justice and outweighs the public’s and defendant’s interest in a speedy trial. The period covered by the continuance will not count toward the deadline under the Speedy Trial Act…
