FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — Following an emergency declaration from the Department of Energy, Northwest Arkansas power companies say they do not expect service disruptions.
The declaration comes as an intense heat wave affects multiple states across the country, including Arkansas. In a statement to KNWA/FOX24, Southwestern Electric Power Company stated that it is working to maintain reliability.
