OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – The man arrested in connection to a mass shooting in North Omaha has been sentenced to prison.
Maurice Brown of Council Bluffs was sentenced to 38-45 years in prison on the charges of use of a deadly weapon and 2nd degree assault.
Brown was initially charged with seven counts of using a gun to commit a felony, six counts of second-degree assault, one county of first-degree assault, and one count of possession of a gun by a prohibited person. He pleaded no contest to two of those charges in April.
The shooting was first reported in August of 2025 as a ShotSpotter activation alert indicating multiple shots had been fired in the parking lot at Kelly’s Package Liquor, located at 30th and Pinkney streets…
