Authorities have identified the man stuck and killed by a freight train near the Anoka County Fair on Friday as 33-year-old Tyrrell Joseph Christie, of Minneapolis.
According to the Anoka County Sheriff’s Office, Christie died at the scene near the 2700 block of Ferry Street shortly after 9 p.m. after he apparently attempted to cross in front of an oncoming Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway train.
The incident led to road closures that affected fair-goers leaving the fairgrounds and Metro Transit assisted in returning people to their vehicles…
