The Oldest Restaurants in Northern Colorado

Northern Colorado has been around for a very long time. Most cities were established in the 1800’s. Holy cow.

After living here my whole life, I’ve seen some great resturaunts come and go. There are some restaurants I was shocked to find out have shut their doors. Losing your favorite place to eat can be traumatizing (exaggeration).

Let’s take a look at the places that have been able to stay open and why. It’s the oldest resturaunts in Northern Colorado, and I’m drooling just thinking of each one on the list.

Silver Grill

Heading up the list has to be the iconic Silver Grill in downtown Fort Collins. Known for their ginormous cinnamon rolls and incredible breakfast selections, the Silver Grill opened way back in 1933, making it a whopping ninety-three years old.

Vern’s Place
