NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — The New Orleans Police Department is trying to identify and arrest a suspect in a pair of Mid-City theft investigations. It’s the latest case to roll on the Wheel of Justice.
According to police, the first case happened around 4:45 p.m. on June 25 in the 600 block of South Murat Street. They say a woman with red hair stole a package containing workout clothing and cat toys from the front porch of a home.
NOPD accuses porch pirate suspect of stealing dresser in Seventh Ward
In the second case, according to the NOPD, the same woman stole a $200 bicycle from a front porch in the 4600 block of Banks Street. That theft happened around 6:15 a.m. on July 20.
Police also released security camera footage of both crimes. In the first case, the woman has red hair. In the second case, the suspect’s hair is darker. But tattoos on the woman’s arm, back and neck appear to be the same.
