‘Extreme heat’ settles across South MS this week. Could we break heat records? See the forecast

Mississippi Coast residents are experiencing another stretch of sweltering weather with “extreme heat” settling over the region this week.

Forecasters with the National Weather Service in New Orleans say conditions will be “hot to very hot,” with a chance of rain bringing relief toward the end of the work week, according to a July 26 statement on X, formerly known as Twitter.
