BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — An investigation into diesel and copper wire thefts from farms in the Old River area led to the arrest of two men after deputies allegedly found stolen property during a search warrant.
The Kern County Sheriff’s Office said on July 9, 2026, detectives from the Kern County Sheriff’s Office Rural Crimes Investigation Unit were investigating a diesel fuel theft and copper wire theft from farms in the Old River area.
