If you’ve ever wondered about the effectiveness of Give 716 day – Buffalo’s biggest day of giving – it’s success stories like “North Park Theatre getting its “P” back” that should be considered. This was the giving campaign that was featured on our site in 2026, and lo and behold the community came out to help with the mission at hand.

North Park Theatre also gave a big shout out to the Flexlume Sign Company. Just thinking about Flexlume, I must say that I miss the giant neon blade sign that was once such a prominent landmark on Main Street. When Flexlume moved its manufacturing and headquarters from its longtime home at 1462–1464 Main Street to a brand new, custom-built facility in Lackawanna, NY, the historic sign was taken down. Thankfully, the company is still in business in Western New York, and busy producing and fixing neon signs in the area…
