HCA Florida Healthcare announced last week that it is promoting a leader from within its West Florida division to take the helm of two of its Tampa hospitals.
Samuel “Sam” Boadi, the former chief operating officer of HCA Florida Oak Hill Hospital in Brooksville, has been named CEO of HCA Florida South Tampa and West Tampa hospitals.
“Sam brings broad hospital operations experience and a strong track record of leading teams through growth, change and performance improvement,” says Jyric Sims, president of HCA Healthcare West Florida Division, in the release. “He successfully supported major infrastructure investments, facility modernization, physician recruitment and initiatives focused on colleague and physician engagement and patient experience.”
Before working in the Brooksville hospital, Boadi served as chief operating officer of HCA Florida Lake City Hospital, the release says. There, he helped guide a significant campus expansion that included growing the hospital’s emergency department, construction of a new ancillary services building, expanding its pharmacy, renovating the kitchen and planning for a future bed tower…
