Daughter-in-law of LSU’s Collis Temple Jr. faces ethics charge over U-High coaching job

Britney Temple violated state ethics laws when she was employed by University High School in Baton Rouge as a volleyball coach while her father-in-law, Collis Temple Jr., served on the LSU Board of Supervisors, according to charges filed by the Louisiana Board of Ethics.

The charges say the Board of Supervisors member is effectively an “agency head” for the LSU System and U-High. The Louisiana Code of Governmental Ethics prohibits immediate family from being employed in an agency if their family member is the head of that body.

Britney Temple did not immediately respond to a request for comment. The LSU Board of Supervisors declined to comment…
