On Wednesday at 1:42 a.m. the National Weather Service released a flood watch in effect until 8 p.m. for Northern Warren and Southeast Warren as well as Saratoga, Washington, Schenectady, Albany and Rensselaer counties.
The weather service informs, “Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible.”
“Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas,” comments the weather service. “You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared to take action should flooding develop.”
