After $6,000 in water bills, Grove City couple says answers are hard to find

GROVE CITY, Ohio (WSYX) — A Grove City couple says they were stunned after receiving water bills totaling more than $6,000 over the past three months, but Columbus Water says the high charges were caused by a continuously running water-powered sump pump, not the meter.

Tina Higgins and her husband say they have lived in Grove City for the past six years and never had an issue with their water bill until recently.

“(My husband) said (Columbus Water is) going to cause me to have a heart attack,” Higgins said. “I’m not sleeping at night. It’s not fair.”…
