FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – After a tumultuous journey of coming to fruition, the city’s Riverfront project is finally seeing some tangible progress.
Phase IIb of the city’s most anticipated development project just north of the St. Mary’s River is moving along smoothly, according to an update from the City of Fort Wayne.
On Tuesday, Pufferbelly Ice Cream relocated its Pufferbelly Junction train car to Promenade Park as part of the riverfront plans. Pufferbelly Ice Cream will remain open in the historic Craigville Depot.
The city says that construction is right on schedule for ‘The Eddy’ mixed-use development just north of the Ewing Street Bridge, with the 238-space parking garage taking shape and expected to be finished in spring. Construction on several public spaces is also underway, including the North Lawn Amphitheatre.
MoRE Brewing has finished the brickwork on the outside of the brewery and is now working to complete the interior. The city says the brewery should be welcoming patrons by the end of the year.
