KALAMAZOO, Mich. — A Kalamazoo woman who overcame addiction and rebuilt her life with the help of Goodwill Industries of Southwestern Michigan has been recognized nationally for her resilience and commitment to helping others.
Katherine Yale, known as “Kat,” was named Goodwill Industries International’s 2026 Achiever of the Year, an honor recognizing individuals who have overcome significant barriers to employment while benefiting from Goodwill’s programs or work environment.
