Chicago Executive Airport shut down after plane leaves runway after landing

Chicago Executive Airport in suburban Wheeling was briefly closed Tuesday after a plane left a runway after landing on the tarmac.

According to officials at the airport, a business jet landed on a runway at the airport at approximately 5:27 p.m. While that airplane was turning onto an adjacent taxiway, its landing gear left the paved surface and became stuck, according to officials.
