The work of a New Orleans artist, internationally known for his works that celebrate the city’s culture and architecture, is featured on this year’s version of the “I Voted” sticker handed out at Louisiana polling locations.
Terrance Osborne joined Secretary of State Nancy Landry to unveil his design at the Old Governor’s Mansion. The inspiration for the artwork was what Louisiana would look like if you could see its sound, Osborne said.
“What an honor it is to be the artist, especially looking at the artists that have come before me,” Osborne said in a news release from Landry’s office. “When people vote and get their ‘I Voted’ sticker, they’re excited — they put it on their shirt, and it shows that they’ve officially voted. To be a part of that, of that symbol of voting, is something that I couldn’t be more excited about.”…
