Thunderstorms brought down a roof over gas pumps, flooded roads and toppled trees on Tuesday night as they battered the Washington, D.C., area with downpours and strong winds.
The canopy of a Mobil gas station on Georgia Avenue fell over, trapping a white van under one of the poles. A man who was pumping gas shortly before walked away without injuries.
