The Southern Pines Town Council approved a motion to establish a Red’s Corner social district. Approval was given at the council’s July 28 business session. The social district will include the Red’s Corner and Paddock Bar area.
Among relevant regulations for the district are the use of approved containers, training employees on district requirements and procedures, verification, as per ABC laws, of purchasers’ age and eligibility and compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Rules for the social district mandate that patrons purchasing alcoholic beverages do so from participating establishments, carry approved beverages within the district’s boundaries, and consume those beverages only within designated limits…
