MADISON, Miss. (WJTV) – The City of Madison continues to grow, with more than $10 million in private investment planned for a number of commercial buildings.
The developer, Bridgforth Rutledge, is leading several projects, including a new coffee shop on Madison Avenue, five two-story mixed-use buildings on Main Street with office space upstairs with retail/restaurant space below and a seven-lot commercial subdivision at Madison Parkway and Highway 51.

Two of those lots have already been reserved by a new dance studio and a veterinary clinic. Rutledge said the idea is to build locations that residents can enjoy while also providing something for the community to be proud of.
“Everybody kind of wants the same thing. Generally, they want a nice area and they want something that’s safe and they want something that’s just not, something that, you don’t find everywhere,” said Rutledge. “I’m trying to create kind of an environment that I would like, my family would like, and really, something that the people in Madison would kind of take pride in and enjoy.”…
