HOUSTON (CW39) — A conservancy group is asking for some to speak up and help protect a Texas prairie as the state plans a new major highway.
The Texas Department of Transportation said it plans to build 36A North, a highway to connect I-10 west of Katy to Highway 290 west of Waller.
But the Coastal Prairie Conservancy is worried about how close the routes will come to the prairies in Katy and Waller County…
