Convicted Omaha felon arrested for allegedly shooting self in leg when not allowed to possess a gun

OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – An Omaha man who is a convicted felon faces up to 50 years in prison after police said he shot himself in the leg while he is not allowed to possess a firearm.

Venetus McGhee, 48, was booked into Douglas County Corrections on Wednesday for one count of being a felon in possession of a firearm.
