KUNA, Idaho (CBS2) — The City of Kuna is mourning the tragic loss of City Treasurer Jared Empey.
Jared died while climbing Mount Jefferson in Oregon. Jared was a loving family man and dedicated civil servant, according to accounts shared by coworkers, family, and friends. The City of Kuna says that Jared was instrumental in enabling numerous projects throughout the city.
Mayor Stear said that, “Jared has been such an intricate part of our city family that this news is hard to process. As City Treasurer, he has brought us to levels that didn’t seem possible. We are certainly going to miss everything about him. Please keep his family in your thoughts and prayers as they now have to move forward. Until we meet again, my friend.”…
