SPOKANE COUNTY, Wash. — Cedar, the beloved mascot of the Spokane County Interstate Fair since 2023, has passed away unexpectedly.
The Spokane County Interstate Fair says Cedar was more than just a cute Highland cow, she was a friend to thousands of children, a familiar face to fair goers every year and a joyful ambassador for agriculture and rural life.
“Cedar reminded us why the Fair exists,” said Erin Gurtel, Spokane Fair & Expo Center Director. “She brought people together. She helped children connect with agriculture. She made strangers smile. She represented everything that is good about community, family, and rural life. We will miss her deeply, but we are incredibly grateful that we were able to share her with so many people.”…
