Huntsville Animal Services launches ‘Stars, Stripes & Second Chances’ adoption campaign

Huntsville Animal Services is marking National Clear the Shelters Month in August with a series of patriotic-themed adoption events under its 2026 campaign, “Stars, Stripes & Second Chances.”

The campaign includes waived adoption fees on select dates, foster appreciation programming, and community events throughout the month. All adoptions include up-to-date vaccinations, microchipping and spay/neuter surgery.

“Our ‘Stars, Stripes & Second Chances’ campaign connects the spirit of community with the joy of pet adoption,” HAS Director John Fischer said. “Give a shelter pet the freedom to thrive this August. Whether you adopt, foster or volunteer, every act helps us clear the shelter and give animals a second chance.”…
