Twin sisters Kevonne and Shavonne Gore were arrested on July 16 after police say they spent weeks surveilling and threatening staff at the Louisville Metro Department of Corrections. The 40-year-old sisters were booked into the Louisville Metro Department of Corrections, the same facility officials say they had been watching, and both pleaded not guilty at arraignment. Investigators say the alleged campaign involved repeated in-person surveillance, hostile social media posts and an object left on a staffer’s vehicle that officers considered menacing.
According to police citations reviewed by local reporters, the Gores allegedly parked near the jail multiple times, filmed employees as they arrived and left work, and sent messages that included a photograph of an officer’s home alongside the text, “I will find you, one way or another.” Officers also documented messages that read “watch your back” and “I got something for you” in the case file, WAVE reported.
Law&Crime reported, citing WAVE, that a black rose was left on an officer’s vehicle. The outlet also noted that an account tied to a nickname associated with an officer’s child was allegedly used to send additional photos and threats.
