SacRT suspends some light rail services for construction

(FOX40.COM) — Some Sacramento Regional Transit riders will notice disruptions to their usual routine for the next couple of weeks as construction crews finish major station platform upgrades.

Blue Line service between Broadway and Fruitridge stations is suspended while work takes place at 4th Avenue/Wayne Hultgren and City College stations.

Construction started on July 17 and will continue until August 15. To offset service disruptions, SacRT is using shuttle buses to connect multiple stations, including Broadway, 4th Avenue/Wayne Hultgren, City College, and Fruitridge. During this time, light rail service will continue north of Broadway Station to Watt/ I-80 Station and south of Fruitridge Station to Consumnes River College Station during normal operation hours…
