A Massachusetts woman was arrested in connection with a case of animal cruelty that left a dog facing possible amputation.
On July 23, Salem police responded to 14 Bertuccio Ave. to assist the Health, Building and Fire Departments, who were already on the scene. Inside the home, officers found a Pomeranian dog with a large open wound to its left rear leg, according to a police statement.
