24-year-old charged in fatal crash that killed 2 MDOT workers

ALAIEDON TWP., Mich. (News 10) – A 24-year-old man has been charged in connection with a crash that killed two Michigan Department of Transportation workers in Ingham County.

According to the Ingham County Prosecutor’s Office, Tyler Reck is charged with two counts of reckless driving causing death, a 15-year felony, and two counts of moving violation causing death in a work zone, also a 15-year felony.

The charges stem from a May 26 crash on northbound U.S. 127 near Holt Road. Investigators said Reck was driving at a high rate of speed when he lost control of his vehicle and struck two MDOT workers, killing them…
