Georgia man sentenced for possessing 5 kilos of cocaine in Mississippi

GREENVILLE, Miss. (WJTV) – A Georgia man was sentenced in Mississippi to 120 months in federal prison for possession with intent to distribute more than five kilograms of cocaine.

According to court documents, Dannie Thomas, of Dacula, Georgia, was in possession of 50 kilograms of cocaine and a large amount of currency at the time of his arrest in Pontotoc County.

The case is part of the Homeland Security Task Force (HSTF) initiative.
