MYRTLE BEACH S.C. (WPDE) — The City of Myrtle Beach has narrowed its search for the next police chief to four finalists following interviews with eight candidates this week.
The finalists will visit Myrtle Beach during the week of Aug. 10 for additional interviews, meetings with police department personnel, city staff and the public, as well as tours of the city and police department.
“The quality of this applicant pool speaks volumes about the Myrtle Beach Police Department and our city,” City Manager Jonathan “Fox” Simons Jr. said. “That level of interest reflects the reputation of this department and the competitive nature of this position.
