SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — The 90th Annual Ozark Empire Fair officially kicks off today, bringing ten days of rides, live music, livestock competitions, and classic fair foods to southwest Missouri.
The summer tradition runs from Thursday, July 30, through Saturday, August 8, at the Ozark Empire Fairgrounds in Springfield.
Opening Day Free Admission
Fairgoers can take advantage of Free Admission Day on Thursday, July 30, with gate admission waived for all attendees courtesy of Brad Bradshaw. Gates and commercial exhibit halls open to the public at 4 p.m.
Free Daily Attractions Included with Gate Entry
This year’s fair features several new and returning interactive shows across the grounds:
- Dino Encounters & Jurassic Bark: Located near the Missouri Conservation Building and Wilson Logistics Arena, featuring interactive dinosaur puppets and dog stunt shows.
- Radatz Magic Show: Illusionist Aaron Radatz performs daily in the air-conditioned West Hall of the E-Plex (5:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Monday–Thursday; added 3:30 p.m. shows Friday–Sunday).
- Mythicreature: A daily strolling act at 3 p.m., 5 p.m., and 7 p.m.
- Pig Races & Petting Zoo: Located near Gate 2, with pig races running daily at 12:00, 2:30, 4:30, 6:30, and 8:30 p.m.
New Fair Foods for 2026
Alongside classic funnel cakes, lemonade shake-ups, and smoked turkey legs, several new food vendors join the lineup this year:
- Louisiana Bayou Food Truck: Fried gator, jambalaya, crawfish & gator bombs, boudin balls, and beignets.
- Chuchu Concessions: Drink refreshers, giant spring rolls, and Korean mochi dogs.
- Sam’s Gyros: Gyros, Philly cheesesteaks, and loaded fries.
