AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) – A new barbecue restaurant opened last week in downtown Augusta, bringing what the owner describes as traditional Southern barbecue to the city’s main corridor.
Bradley’s Barbecue is the latest venture from Havird Usry, who also owns So Sal, Fat Man’s and Sno Cap across the river. Usry said he wrote the menu in 2020, but the COVID-19 pandemic delayed the project.
From old bakery to barbecue restaurant
Usry purchased the former Sunshine Bakery building in 2023 and undertook an extensive renovation.
