GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) – Gainesville city leaders will be gathering for the groundbreaking of the new Southwest Public Safety Center at 10 a.m. Friday.
The center is set to be 29,754 square foot hurricane-hardened facility with many features to provide extra aid for residents in the southwest area of Gainesville, strategically placing emergency response teams in case of natural disasters.
