Operation LERP results in 87 arrests in downtown Jacksonville drug crackdown

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office announced it has wrapped up a long-term narcotics operation with significant results — 87 people arrested, illegal drugs seized, and weapons taken off downtown streets.

Operation LERP, led by JSO’s Narcotics Unit, targeted those trafficking and distributing drugs throughout Jacksonville’s Urban Core and downtown corridor. Several of those arrested were accused of selling dangerous drugs near schools and churches.
