Dulan’s Soul Food Kitchen, one of Inglewood’s most recognizable Black-owned restaurants, has been awarded a $250,000 grant through the city’s Destination Market Street program.
Dulan’s is among 35 businesses initially selected to receive grants of up to $250,000 through the Market Street initiative, an $8.5 million state-funded program designed to revitalize downtown Inglewood by supporting exterior and interior improvements. PCR Business Finance, a community development financial institution, is handling the application process for the program.
So far, 23 grants have been awarded, nine are pending and three have withdrawn their grant requests, according to Karly Katona, managing director with Trifiletti Consulting Group that is working with the city and the program. Katona provided a list of the grant awardees below:
