Columbus County drug bust nets three arrests, trafficking charges

RIEGELWOOD, N.C. (WECT) – Three people are facing drug charges after Columbus County Sheriff’s Office investigators found trafficking amounts of heroin, cocaine, methamphetamine and other controlled substances at a Riegelwood home.

The Columbus County Sheriff’s Office said investigators executed a search warrant at 705 Hoover Road following surveillance of the residence, which belongs to George Munn.

More than $9,000 in U.S. currency was also seized under the North Carolina Unauthorized Substances Tax Act, the sheriff’s office said.

George Munn is charged with two counts of trafficking in opium or heroin, possession with intent to manufacture, sell or deliver methamphetamine, two counts of possession with intent to manufacture, sell or deliver marijuana, felony maintaining a dwelling for controlled substances, felony maintaining a vehicle for controlled substances, and possession of drug paraphernalia…
