NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — An Orleans Parish Sheriff’s Office employee was arrested by the New Orleans Police Department on allegations of drug possession and human trafficking, the OPSO announced.
According to the law enforcement agency, they were notified by the NOPD that 47-year-old Ronald Baptiste taken into custody on Friday, July 31.
His charges include the following:
- One (1) count of alcohol purchase for person under 21
- One (1) count of false imprisonment
- One (1) count of simple battery
The agency said the acts under investigation are not alleged to have taken place on OPSO property nor it was alleged to be related to the person’s employment with the OPSO back in 2024…
