Erie High School student Anna Fott has three horses, but only one is lucky enough to help her carry the American flag at this year’s Boulder County Fair.
That horse is, fittingly, named Lucky. The 21-year-old white Quarter Horse will carry his owner as she hoists an unfurled American flag to signal the start of the Aug. 6 rodeo. Fott and Lucky will also lead the Aug. 1 Boulder County Fair Parade through downtown Longmont.
