UNION TOWNSHIP, Pa. — At Hopewell Furnace, almost every corner has a story. The old buildings, the furnace, even the land.
“Hopewell is nestled here, as I like to say, the Silicon Valley of the American iron industry. All of the materials and the resources that you need to have a really successful iron furnace are just ripe all throughout Southeast Pennsylvania,” said Jeff Jones, site manager at Hopewell Furnace National Historic Site.
