More than 2,700 homes sit vacant in Huntsville even as new construction continues

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WAFF) – More than 2,700 homes across Huntsville are currently vacant, even as new neighborhoods continue to be built across the city, according to the latest housing report.

The report shows 2,706 homes are vacant. The median home price has reached nearly $350,000. Huntsville is on pace to add 2,000 more new homes this year.
