Suspect charged with attempted murder following Madison County deputy-involved shooting

TONEY, Ala. (WAFF) – A domestic violence suspect who was shot by a Madison County deputy earlier this month has been released from the hospital and now faces multiple charges.

42-year-old Jody Drake, Jr. is charged with attempted murder and certain persons forbidden to possess a firearm.

The charges stem from an incident shortly before midnight on July 17, when deputies responded to a domestic violence call on Pulley Lane.
