CLAYPOOL – The importance of antique tractors and farm equipment to Indiana’s agricultural heritage was read from a proclamation Friday to kick off the Echoes of the Past SummerFest Tractor Pull and Show.
Mary Martin, regional director for Gov. Mike Braun’s office, read the proclamation from the state of Indiana. The proclamation stated Indiana’s agricultural heritage has been shaped by generations of farmers whose labor, ingenuities and stewardship of the land helped build the strength of the state.
The “antique tractor stands as an enduring symbol of that heritage, representing the innovation and the hard work that’s transformed Indiana farming throughout the 20th century and whereas collectors, restorers and preservations clubs across Indiana devote countless hours to maintaining and showcasing these historic machines, ensuring that future generations understand the tools and technology that shaped our agriculture past,” she said…
