SYRACUSE, N.Y., WSYR-TV) — A street in Syracuse is set to be shut down for 12 hours due to a major infrastructure project.
East Colvin Street will be closed to traffic in both directions, between Garfield Avenue and Moore Avenue, from 6 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 2, to 6 a.m., Monday, Aug. 3, a statement from the New York State Department of Transportation said. The closure is meant to facilitate utility work under the I-81 Viaduct project.
Eastbound drivers are asked to follow a signed detour that will direct traffic to south on South Salina Street, to south on East Brighton Avenue, to east on Thurber Street, to north on Comstock Avenue, to East Colvin Street, the statement said.
